lists | maximizing talent

Sitting around the kitchen table in our twenty-something home sweet home we each bring different talents to the nightly meal. We have different passions and express them through various outlets. In short, we're a mixed up group with a lot to pull from.

What is better than a variety of talents and passions?! Well, when friends are true friends each can ask for these talents to be shared at any time and can be assured a helping hand.

The talents of this group range from reviews on new Jillian workouts, how to successfully survive out of your car, how to rock two jobs, the latest on fast food trends, the ability to put together a fishtail braid or chignon in two minutes flat, how to grow tomato plants in the backyard, how to choreograph dance routines on the fly, and one of the most valued... how to take photos and edit them into maddening, beautiful oblivion.

Which brings in two of our dearest friends, Kelly and Erica. They both enjoy photography and have been sharing the SLR love with friends and family for just shy of a year. From delightful wedding and engagement shoots, travel and landscape photos, to the hilarity of taking candids of yours truly to launch The Wonder List, these ladies have authentic talent that is yet to be fully discovered.

5 reasons it makes sense to have photographers for best friends:
1/ They know you & can pick a shoot location based on your personality.
2/ They can create laughter in an instant. No fake laughing goes on here & the photos reflect that.
3/ The photo train stops by Starbucks before the shoot & Yeah Burger! on the way home.
4/ They see you so often that they know your "good side." Enough said.
5/ The relaxed dynamic between photog & model (ahem, Allie) makes for real Kodak moments.

Take a closer look around your kitchen table tonight and be willing to share resources. It's a win-win situation.

  1. Like #4 the best:) I do love having a photographer for a bestie--opens my eyes to a new world seen through a camera lens and I get great shots of my kids:)
