Most of the time, living in the city is tops. But sometimes, when you realize you've spent half the day sitting in traffic and start to forget how to use your legs, you've got to get out of town.
Recently, a few friends and I hit the city wall and needed a reprieve. We all piled in a car - think five girls, more luggage than we needed for two days and junk food for miles - and headed to spend a weekend in the mountains.
We did absolutely nothing on the trip except enjoy each other's company, laugh hysterically, eat cookie dough by the pound, drink sangria into oblivion, learn new dance moves and revel in the randomness that is the open road, as is evident from the picture above.
That's the thing about road trips, they free you from any inhibitions that your normal routine forces you to comply with.
