Aren't we all guilty of letting our calendars take over our lives? Someone (maybe the Mayans?) designed them long ago to help, remind and keep our time productive. Yet so easily these calendars become bossy humans - pointing fingers, and keeping us past the normal level of exhaustion.
As women, and as I've heard from much older and wiser women, this debate is something we'll battle our entire lives. Wanting to please everyone, uphold every commitment, over commit, and fall into bed at midnight with the same thing planned for tomorrow.
After that scenario goes on for a few weeks or even months we reach our breaking point. The bawl crying, cell phone throwing, nobody likes me cry fest that we've all witnessed first hand. How do we deal?
Do we BREW or CREW? Do we grab a drink and unwind, deciding that tomorrow will be better and we overreacted totally. Or do we go chat it out with the girls and share a few life lessons about calendar planning and learning to say no when we need to.
Well, I'm a fan of both. But I think this one calls for a truth-telling chat session. One where you can leave and begin making changes in your life. Taking back your life, rearranging priorities and finding a renewed sense of peace and happiness.
