stylings | game day

With the onset of Autumn comes what is perhaps the best season of the year, football season. There is nothing better than spending the day chatting with friends, sipping on a brew and rooting for the home team. The only problem? What to wear. Finding an outfit that works for talegating in the heat, cheering as the sun goes down and venturing out for a post-win celebration takes almost as much skill as throwing the winning touchdown.

The picks below are not only stylish, functional and comfortable, they'll guarantee a starting spot at the next game.

1 / Wearing black gives you instant fashionista credentials. A loose t-shirt with interesting detailing serves as the perfect base for an MVP worthy outfit.
2 / Jean cutoffs are always a classic choice and are appropriate for both students and alumni. If the weather is chilly, opt for long jeans.
3 / A bag that is big enough to hold your necessities but small enough to be carried around all day is the perfect choice. Always choose one with a cross body strap; you don't want to worry about losing it or have to juggle holding a clutch and a bud light.
4 / A cardigan allows you to transition to cooler evening temperatures in style. If you have something in your team colors, throw that on. Otherwise, grey is always a stylish option and can be worn on and off the field.
5 / Accessories are the easiest way to showcase spirit. Incorporating insignia or colors in a bold necklace or pair of earrings means you can support your team while avoiding donning a color palette that you might not otherwise wear (let's be honest, team colors are not always the best combinations). Since we're FSU grads, this piece is a natural choice for the Seminoles.
6 / Wearing heels to a game is just not a practical option for climbing up to the nosebleed section. Go for sandals with fabulous details.

  1. I'm not a football fan at all. It's actually kind of pathetic. But if I WERE to go to a game, I definitely agree on your picks.
