Don't Leave Without |
Taking in the sights on Hollywood Boulevard. It's like the movies, friends. Everything you've seen on television, E! News, and in several notable movies you can see with your own eyes. If anything, for the Wonderlister it allows her to dream and go to a place in her imagination. Where reality dims and possibilities are bright with color. Let the California air, neon lights and Hollywood vibe get to you.
Snapping photos of the palm trees. As a native Floridian, I have definitely seen my share of palms. However, I would be very wrong to say the California ones aren't way cooler. They are majestic and super tall, reaching into the sky to touch the sun and get a California tan. Until you make the trip yourself, check out a portfolio of the palm goodness here.
Seeing the Kodak Theatre (now the Dolby Theatre) for yourself! It is the Hollywood locale of the annual Academy Awards and the place where so many have had their career-defining moments. Take a tour of the theatre and witness first-hand, in a way, Halle Berry and Reese Witherspoon's heartfelt acceptance speeches.
Make Sure you Try |
A trendy, Hollywood-esque restaurant. If you are in a celebrity hot zone, you might as well play the part, right? There are numerous themed, chic restaurants that you'll need a reservation for. One to try is Katsuya, a place known for a creative Asian fusion menu and notable sushi dishes that Kim likes. Yes, that Kim.
To schedule a movie premiere night during your time in Hollywood. There are premiere nights quite often in L.A. and it's the prime place to see stars while ushering in the next box office hit. Regardless of who you see, it is exciting to witness one piece of an actor's job description. Borrowing stunning gowns and tuxedos, luscious jewels and hitting the red carpet.
Remember to |
Soak up the California way of life while you're visiting. It really is a different place altogether. The West Coast has a vibe that nowhere else in the U.S. can claim - a windows down, free-spirited, old yet dangerously new feeling. Relish that and let yourself be mesmerized by something totally different.
these photos are all personal photos and taken especially for The Wonder List. If you reuse, please be kind and link back.

I agree that the West Coast has a vibe unlike any in the nation. I studied at UCLA while I was in high school and I remember feeling out of place because I was an East coaster. Love your tips!
